The 2025/2026 academic year application for admission is currently open to prospective learners who would like to further their education at Birmingham City University. With an acceptance rate of 52%, all applicants who meet the application requirements as demanded by the university will gain admission into either a postgraduate programme or an undergraduate programme.  All undergraduate courses are applied through UCAS with an application fee of 25 GBP.

The application deadline for submitting applications through UCAS for the 2025 academic year is January 2025. There are different ways to apply to BCU depending on your course and level of study. If you’re a non-EU international student from a country where the vast majority of people are not English-speaking, applicants are required to take a Secure English Language Test (SELT). If you’re planning to study a course which is below degree level, you must take a SELT with one of UK Visas and Immigration’s (UKVI) approved English language test providers, unless BCU has already accepted your high school qualification.
