How to Change UAC Preferences 2025-2026

You have the option to choose up to five course options on your undergraduate application. You may choose up to six if you are an international Year 12 applicant or are applying for a postgraduate program. Only enroll in the course in which you are most interested.

Although you can submit applications for the same course with several start dates, each start date is treated separately. Certain courses have early deadlines.

Choosing Courses Starting in 2025-2026

You must wait until August 2022 to add some undergraduate courses with start dates in 2023 to your application. It is advised that you select at least one course to submit your application. Later, you can review and change your preferences.

Changing your Preferences

There is no charge to change your preferences and you can change them as many times as you like. You can add, delete, or change the order of your courses if you want to.

Simply log into your application and change your preferences if you decide to change what you wish to study. Stop launching a new application. Include your UAC application number in a letter or email to UAC if you wish to cancel your application.

Step-by-Step Guide on How to change your course preferences

1. Log in to your application using your UAC application number and UAC PIN.
2. Select Course preferences from the top navigation bar.

To change the order of your course preferences:

1. Click on the up arrow or down arrow below the course you want to move. Keep clicking the arrow until the course is in the correct position.
2. Click the Update button.
3. Click the Save and Check button.

To delete a course preference:

1. Click on the x on the right-hand side of the course name.
2. A dialog box will appear, asking you to confirm that you want to remove the course. Click OK.
3. Click the Update button.
4. Click the Save and Check button.

To add a new course preference:

1. Click on Search for courses.
2. Click the Select institutions dropdown.
3. Select all the institutions you are interested in.
4. Close the selection box.
5. Enter a course name, course code, or keyword into the search box. The matching courses will be displayed.
6. Select your course preference by clicking on the start date for the relevant courses. You can choose one or several.
7. Click on the Review your Preferences button.
8. Check the order of your preferences and move them as required.
9. Click the Update button.
10. Click the Save and Check button.
