USC Academic Calendar Spring 2023

The University of Southern California (USC) Spring 2023 semester consists of 69 instructional days. There are also other important dates and deadlines on the USC Academic Calendar for Spring 2023 that you need to know.

Below is the list of activities that will take place during the USC Academic Spring 2023

1. The USC spring semester registration commences on 5 January 2023 (Thursday) to 6 January 2023 (Friday).
2. USC Spring 2023 classes start on 9 January 2023, Monday.
3. Martin Luther King’s Day Holiday is 16 January 2023 (Monday) according to the USC holiday calendar.
4. 27 January 2023 is;
   • The last day to register and add classes for the 001 Session.
   • The Last day to drop a class without a mark of “W,” except for Monday-only classes, and receive a refund for the 001 Session.
   • The Last day to change the enrollment option to Audit for the 001 Session.
5. January 30 2023 is the last day to add/drop a Monday-only class without a mark of “W” and receive a refund or change to Audit for Session 001.
6. The last day to change the enrollment option to Pass/No Pass for the 001 sessions is 10 February 2023
7. President’s Day Holiday is 20 February 2023, Monday
8. February 24 2023 is the last day to drop a course without a mark of “W” on the transcript
9. Mark of “W” will still appear on student record and STARS report and tuition charges still apply. The same day is the Last day to change a Pass/No Pass to a letter grade for Session 001.
10. The USC Spring break 2023 is open from 12 March 2023, Sunday to 19 March 2023, Sunday.
11. April 7 2023 is the last day to drop a class with a mark of “W” for Session 001.
12. USC Spring classes close on 28 April 2023, Friday.
13. All Study days will be available from 29 April 2023, Saturday to 2 May 2023, Tuesday.
14. The USC Exams will start on 3 May 2023, Wednesday to 10 May 2023, Wednesday.
15. USC Spring semester will close on 12 May 2023, Thursday.
16. USC Commencement/graduation 2023 is 12 May 2023, Friday. This is the 139th Commencement Ceremony and will be held at the University of Southern California (USC) Alumni Memorial Park at 8:30 a.m. Individual school ceremonies will follow the main ceremony.
