Application Requirements To Apply to Baylor University 2026-2027

Freshman applicants need to submit SAT or ACT scores (unless applying as Test Optional), a high school transcript showing GPA, and an essay.

Students applying for Early Decision must also provide:

  • A signed Student Early Decision Agreement
  • A signed Parent Early Decision Agreement

Transfer Admission

You are considered a transfer student if you have completed college-level coursework beyond the summer following high school graduation. However, if your only college credits were earned for dual credit or to meet high school graduation requirements, you should apply as a freshman.

Students transferring to Baylor should plan to do so by the end of their sophomore year because the final 60 semester hours must be completed at Baylor. A maximum of 70 semester hours can be transferred, with no more than 15 hours earned after enrollment. Applicants must also be eligible to re-enroll at every college or university previously attended.

International Student Requirements

  • International applicants must show proof of English proficiency through one of the following:
  • An official transcript showing at least one year of full-time study at a U.S. school
  • An official statement showing one year of full-time study at a school where English is the main language of instruction
