Birmingham City University Postgraduate Application 2026/2027

If you are considering postgraduate study at Birmingham City University (BCU) for the 2026/2027 academic year, it is important to know when to apply. Applications for September 2026 entry are open until Friday 18 July 2026, giving students enough time to arrange accommodation, secure funding, and, for international students, complete visa requirements. For those planning to begin in January 2027, the deadline is Friday 5 December 2026. Submitting your application before these dates ensures that you have plenty of time to prepare for the start of your course.

Unlike undergraduate courses, where applications are submitted through UCAS, most postgraduate applications at Birmingham City University are made directly to the university. The process is designed to be simple and flexible. You can browse courses on the BCU website, check the entry requirements, and then complete your application online through the university’s application portal.

Supporting documents such as academic transcripts, references, and a personal statement are usually required. International students may also need to provide proof of English language qualifications. Applying for a postgraduate degree at BCU is straightforward and student-friendly, allowing you to manage your application directly with the university. This direct system makes it easier to track your progress, ask questions, and receive updates from the admissions team.
