Bournemouth University Application Deadline 2026/2027

The Bournemouth University has announced the key dates for students planning to start in the 2026/2027 academic year. UCAS applications for 2026 entry opened on 13 May 2025, with submissions accepted from 2 September 2025. The equal consideration deadline for most undergraduate courses is 14 January 2026 at 18:00. Late applications will be accepted until 30 June 2026, after which any remaining places will be available through Clearing, beginning on 5 July 2026. These dates are important for both UK and international applicants who want to secure a place at BU.

The application process is straightforward but requires careful preparation. Undergraduate students apply through UCAS, using Bournemouth University’s institution code B50. You will need to research your chosen course, check the specific entry requirements, and prepare your documents, including academic transcripts, a personal statement, and references. After submission, you can track your progress through UCAS Hub and BU’s myHub portal. If you receive an offer, you can accept or decline it within the UCAS system.

For postgraduate courses, most applications are made directly through BU’s online myHub portal, though a few exceptions require UCAS. Postgraduate applicants should apply as early as possible, as there is no fixed deadline, but early submission ensures a smoother process, helps with timely decisions, and allows more time for visa applications and enrollment preparations. Bournemouth University Deferred Entry Application Deadline 2026/2027

BU may consider applications for deferred entry to September 2026. You need to request deferred entry once you have made your application by contacting the Admissions Team. This means you can submit your application now, but won’t begin studying until the September 2026 academic year.

If you apply for deferred entry, the conditions of any offer BU makes to you must be satisfied by 1 September 2026. In addition, any applicable fees, funding, accommodation, and other terms covered in the Student Agreement will be for your year of entry (September 2026), not the year that you apply. All of this information may be subject to change, so you should consider this before you make your decision.

Bournemouth University Postgraduate Application Deadline 2026/2027

  • There is no specific deadline to apply for taught postgraduate courses with BU, but they recommend that you submit your application as soon as possible. Some of the degrees have a January intake and a September intake, giving you more flexibility over when you study.
  • International students who will require a Student Visa to be granted access to the UK must apply for it by November 2025 to be considered for January 2026 entry. After this date, the International Admissions Team will stop accepting applications for this entry point.
