What Is The Cardiff University Undergraduate Application Deadline For 2025/2026
- 31 January is the Closing date for most undergraduate courses at Cardiff University. (You can still apply until 30 June but admissions tutors will only consider your application at their discretion).
- If you are interested in studying a full-time undergraduate degree at Cardiff University but have already declined or have been rejected by your five choices or are applying after the UCAS equal consideration deadline (31 January), you might be eligible for UCAS Extra. UCAS Extra opens on 23 February.
- Late applications for the undergraduate courses will be accepted until 30 June which is the closing date for late applications
- 15 October is the closing date for applications for Medicine and Dentistry for September entry.

Cardiff University Undergraduate Application Requirements 2025/2026
- Most undergraduate courses usually require ABB – AAA grades at A-level or 30-36 points at IB. Foundation and access courses will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Subject-specific requirements will vary from course to course, but you will usually be required to have taken some subjects which are related to the degree subject you are looking to study.
Cardiff University English Language Requirements
- If you have taken GCSE English and have a grade of C or above, you will usually not be required to take an IELTS exam.
- If you have not taken GCSE English but have studied through the medium of English you may not be required to take an IELTS exam.

Applicants applying for undergraduate courses at Cardiff University for the academic year 2025 can apply via the UCAS website or directly to the University. The process below will guide you in applying for undergraduate courses at Cardiff University vis UCAS:

There are two UCAS application deadlines:
- 15 October for Medicine (UCAS Codes: A100 and A104) and Dentistry (UCAS Codes: A200 and A204)
- 29 January for all other courses (for 2025 applications only – the usual deadline is the last Wednesday of January.)
- Applications after 29 January: you may apply until 30 June but your application will be marked ‘late’ and admissions tutors will consider it at their discretion.
Deadline For International and EU students
- Applications from overseas students (non-EU) will be accepted through UCAS up until 30 June. However, it is recommended that you apply by 29 January as courses may close after this date if they become full.
- Medicine (UCAS Codes: A100 and A104) and Dentistry (UCAS Codes: A200 and A204) have a separate deadline of 15 October.
- If you are applying after 30 June, please contact the International Office directly to discuss your application.
Submit the application
Applicants To Receive Their Offers:
- UCAS will contact you by email or letter once you have at least one offer. If you are offered a place, your offer will be either unconditional or conditional
Reply Your offers
- You must now consider the offers you’ve received and inform UCAS of your choice through the Track system. The deadline by which you must reply will be displayed in Track.
