Application Fee

Your application will be reviewed once this application form, the necessary supplemental document, and a non-refundable application cost of R1000 for overseas applicants or R500 for South African citizens (inside South Africa) are received.
The banking information is on page 5 if you want to pay the application fee by direct deposit or electronic transfer.
A copy of the deposit or transfer confirmation must be included with the application in such circumstances.
International applicants must pay any bank fees associated with international transfers and send Stenden South Africa a net amount of ZAR 1000.

What are the fees?

The fees are broken down into different categories. The first two tables show only the academic/tuition fees excluding accommodation and meals. Should students require our accommodation or meals, the third table shows a breakdown of these fees. Shared accommodation refers to two students in a room, sharing an en-suite bathroom. Students are usually accommodated in a hostel or in digs-style accommodation situated on campus or within walking distance of campus.

Admission Requirements

Students who have completed their education through the South African educational system must have earned the National Senior Certificate and have met the minimum requirements for admission to bachelor’s degree programs to be admitted to degree programs. These requirements are listed in the Higher Education Act No. 101 of 1997 and must be met for a student to be admitted to degree programs.
Additionally, candidates must have a pass or above in English. The Stenden South Africa Exam Committee may also take into account the following documents or entrance requirements for admission to the degree programs:

• The candidate is in Senior Certificate (Grade 12) and will turn 23 during the first academic year of study.
• Senior Certificate (Grade 12) and at least one successful year of study in a program that is registered with SAQA (NQF 5 or higher) and that counts at least 120 credits;
• Another degree in higher education from a recognized institution of higher learning; and
• The applicant is 45 years of age or older.

To determine whether they meet the standards for admittance to higher education degree programs in South Africa, international students who intend to enroll and register at Stenden South Africa must submit their school-leaving certificate to Universities in South Africa (USAF).
