Providing Documents to Support your UAC Application for 2025

If you need to provide supporting documents, you will be prompted to do so in your application. All documents must be uploaded as PDFs through your application. The required documents will also be listed in your Confirmation of Application, which you can download when you complete your application.

If you’re a Year 12 student it is unlikely that you’ll need to provide documents to support your application for study, since UAC automatically receives your Year 12 results.

Documents UAC can obtain for you

In most cases, UAC can obtain your results from the study at the following institutions, so there is no need to deliver them to UAC yourself:

  • Australian Year 12 assessment authorities
  • Australian universities
  • TAFE NSW from 2008
  • TAFE ACT (CIT).

If you have outstanding obligations (such as a university library fine), most universities won’t disclose your academic record, which may prohibit you from receiving an offer. If a school has notified you that your transcripts are not eligible for release, UAC cannot evaluate your qualifications using them.

Documents you may need to provide to UAC

You may be asked to provide the following supporting documents

  • Documentary evidence of your qualifications
  • Academic results
  • Employment experience or change of name.

You could also be required to upload course-specific files, including a personal statement, resume, questionnaire, or portfolio, depending on the course preferences you select. Go to the course preferences section to upload course-specific documents. The “Course-specific requirements” section will include a list of any necessary documents. To upload your PDF file, click “Upload” and follow the on-screen instructions.
