UCT Online Application 2025 Opening Date

The University of Cape Town (UCT) Online Application for Admission to the 2025-2026 academic year will be open from 1 April 2025 to 31 July 2025 for all undergraduate programmes. So if you would like to study at UCT for 2025, apply online for admission before the application closing date or deadline because there will not be a late application.

1 April 2025

Applications for admission in 2025 open at noon.
The National Benchmark Tests (NBTs) registrations are open.

9 April 2025

The UCT Virtual Open Day is hosted on Microsoft Teams Live.

31 July 2025

All undergraduate applications close. We do not accept late applications.
Applications for student housing close.
The last date to write the NBTs if you wish to be considered for a conditional offer by the Faculty of Health Sciences.
Preferred date for the submission of Bachelor of Architectural Studies (BAS) portfolios.

How to Apply at UCT Online 2025

UCT Online Application for 2025 is very simple, easy, and accurate. As you are filling out the online application form, it will prompt you when you make a mistake or enter the wrong information. Apply online by following the steps below:

Visit the UCT online application portal at https://applyonline.uct.ac.za
Select the type of qualification you wish to apply for
Read the information regarding the application cycle
Choose the year you are applying for and click “Continue”
Read and accept the “UCT PRIVACY NOTICE”
Fill in the block with your details to create a UCT account
Sign in with your email address and password you created
Complete and submit your application online for an evaluation

Please Note: Make sure to use an email address that belongs to you and has not been used by any other applicant to UCT University. If you don’t have an email account, you may create a free web-based email account. You will then be guided through the steps needed to apply to UCT for the 2024 academic year.
