UKZN Registration Dates for 2025-2026
The University of KwaZulu-Natal, UKZN Online Registration 2024-2025 Academic year will be open from 10 January 2024 to 25 February 2024. Applicants who applied for the UKZN 2024-2025 academic year are encouraged to register online at UKZN within the registration period before the closing date or deadline.

UKZN Registration Dates for 2024 First 1 Semester
- Online registration: 10 January – 25 February 2025
- The first semester and Lectures commence on 14 February 2025
- Final date for minimum fee payment required for registration: 25 February 2025
- Final date for semester 1 registration: Friday 25 February 2025
- Final date for curriculum changes: 25 February 2025
UKZN Registration Dates for 2025 Second 2 Semester
- College of Agriculture, Engineering, and Science (CAES): 18 July – 5 August 2025
- College of Health Sciences: 11 July – 5 August 2025
- College of Humanities: 11 July – 5 August 2025
- College of Law & Management Studies: 25 July – 5 December 2025
- Final date for withdrawal of modules UG, Hons, PGDip, and CWM: 16 September 2025
How to Register at UKZN Online 2025-2026
The University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) Online Registration for 2024 is strictly online. There will be no walk-ins on all UKZN campuses. The online registration process is straightforward, you will be prompted by the system as soon as you make any mistake or provide wrong details.
To register Online, follow the step-by-step below
- Go to https://registration.ukzn.ac.za
- Click on “UKZN Web Registration”
- Read through the document’s details
- Click on Rules and Regulations
- Kindly Accept the “Terms and Conditions”
- Click on the Address Validation link once you have accepted UKZN terms
- Check your address details and update where necessary
- Click on the Contact Details link. Please make sure your email and cellphone number are correct.
- After that, click on the “New Registration” link. If you have multiple possible qualifications available, you must select the most appropriate one.
- Make sure that the qualification displayed is correct.
- Select your major(s) if required and your employment status.
- Then, click ‘Save and Continue”
- Now, select your modules, considering the rules per group of modules, and the total credits for the year. The system will generate errors if you break any rule.
- Select timetables blocks per module chosen, ensuring that you do not select the same blocks for modules within the same semester
- Click on “Save and Continue” when you are done with your selection
- If you have any credit errors or are an Orange, Red, or Purple student, you must request Approval of your selection. Green students with no registration errors will let you continue.
- Click On ‘Request Approval’. You may capture some comments that may assist the academic in approving.
- Once you click submit and get a message indicating that the message has been forwarded, you may log out and wait for an email advising of the status of your request.
- If your request was rejected, please log in again, click on the ‘New Registration Link’, and change your module selection as per the advice given
- Once the Request is approved or a Green student has successfully made subject selections with no errors, you will be directed to a screen where you may upload documents.
- A list of documents will be shown on the screen. Browse, and upload a PDF file as required
- Once submitted, you may log out and await an email from the College. You will be advised if the documents submitted meet requirements or if you need to resend them.
- You will then be presented with a screen showing the Costs of this registration.
- Click on “Accept registration” to finalize your registration. If you have any outstanding holds (e.g. FCR for Financial Clearance Required), you will need to contact finance to clear holds
- At this point, your selection will be stored in the system, and you will be registered automatically.
- If you have no holds, you will now get a message stating you are now registered.
- If you wish to print a copy, you may print “Proof of Registration” or “Summary” of cost and log off
