University College Birmingham Undergraduate Application Deadline 2025/2026
For September entry, the official UCAS deadline for UK and EU applicants to be guaranteed equal consideration is January. The University College of Birmingham has opened its applications for the 2025/2026 academic year. Applicants willing to study in the spring term for 2025 must begin their application as early as possible to meet the deadline.
The spring term is open from January – March 2025. The applications are open for both instate and international applicants provided you meet the admission requirements. To apply for all undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, you will need to sit an approved test in English if it is not your first language. This might include achieving an IELTS (Academic or UKVI) of 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any band, depending on your course requirements.
In addition, UCB accepts the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) 72 with minimum band scores of Reading 18, Writing 17, Listening 17, and Speaking 20 for Undergraduate (BA, BSc) and most postgraduate degrees. Studying at the University College of Birmingham is more affordable than at other universities and state community colleges. Prospective learners are to take note of the following application dates and deadlines. Late applications will only be accepted if there are unoccupied spaces to be filled, but if not then no application will be accepted after the application deadline. The following is the application deadline for the various semesters for the 2025/2026 academic year at the University College of Birmingham:

University College Birmingham Postgraduate Application Deadline
All postgraduate programs have September and, in many cases, January intakes. UCB advises non-EU international applicants to apply at least three months before the enrolment deadline, to allow for processing and documentation to be received and for sponsorship for student visas to be issued.
For Home and EU applicants as well as non-EU applicants based in the UK, the deadline for applications is 10 working days before enrolment. Non-EU applicants based outside the UK must apply 31 days before enrolment:

Graduation Dates
- University College Birmingham’s Graduation Ceremonies celebrate achievement in style. Those for our Foundation Degree, Bachelor, and Master take place in the prestigious Symphony Hall at the Birmingham International Convention Center.
2024 Graduation: September 2024.
Half Term weeks:
University College Birmingham does not provide half-term holidays. Given the specialist and highly vocational nature of the subjects they offer, UCB has scheduled 3 weeks throughout the academic year which have been designed to enhance employability and prepare its students for the world of work.
Activities will include; expert speakers from the industry who will demonstrate current techniques and showcase some new technology within the industries related to the courses we offer. In addition, some students will also participate in industry-related visits to observe best practices and gain information on the wide range of career opportunities available within their chosen area of study:

College Awards Evening
A celebration event is organized each year for those who have completed their level 3 qualification to celebrate student achievements.
This year’s celebration events will be held at McIntyre House on the following dates:
- June – Access to Higher Education Health 13.00-15.00
- June – Health, Sport, and Food – 16.00-19.00
- June – Business, Tourism and Creative Services* – 16.00-19.00
*including Access to Higher Education Business and Computer Science
All FE celebration events are free to attend, with food and entertainment provided at each celebration.

If you are a UK student enrolling on a standard-length Foundation Degree or a BA/BSc at University College Birmingham, your fee for this academic year will be £9,250. A half-year tuition fee is £4,625. There will be no change to this tuition fee for the forthcoming two academic years.
