The 2025/2026 academic year applications for the University of Birmingham have been open to freshmen applicants, returning students, transfer students, transient students and international applicants who want to study a course that is aligned with their careers. For entry in September 2024, the application deadline for most courses is January 2025; Medicine and Dentistry’s deadline is October 2024.
Applicants applying for admission into the 2025 academic year at Birmingham University must make sure they meet the entry requirements for the course they’re interested in. Offers will be made based on predicted grades from Year 12, and for some particularly competitive courses, and the university will look at the GCSE results. Your application is specifically designed for the programme you choose to apply for and it is sensitive to the answers you provide as you proceed through the application. For all undergraduate courses at Birmingham, you apply online through UCAS.
If there’s an area of study an applicant loves whether it’s engineering, languages, sport or art-based an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) gives them the chance to develop their skills and knowledge and impress universities at the same time. The University of Birmingham recognises the EPQ as valuable proof of your capacity for independent learning, as well as your passion for the subject you want to study at a higher level. So when we see it on your UCAS application, it shows us that you’re serious.
