University of Cape Town Online Application 2025-2026
The University of Cape Town (UCT) Online Application for the 2024-2025 Academic year will be open on 3 April 2024 and close on 31 July 2024 for all undergraduate applicants but postgraduate applications will close on 31 October 2023. Please, all prospective applicants who wish to study UCT for the 2025 academic year must submit an online application through www.uct.ac.za online application form in 2025 pdf format.
If you want to apply online at UCT for 2025, you will need a working email address and your South African identity number, or, if you are an international applicant, your passport number.
UCT APPLICATION FEES 2025-2026
The application fee must be paid after you receive your formal acknowledgment of the application, and proof of payment, bearing your applicant number must be submitted to the Admissions Office.
The following fees are applicable:
- UCT students and graduates, and Semester Study Abroad (SSA) No fee
- undergraduate applications from South Africa and SADC region R 100
- undergraduate applications from outside of the SADC region R 300
How do I increase my chances of being accepted at UCT?
- By working hard and achieving good results in Grades 11 and 12 and performing well in the National Benchmarking Tests (NBTs) you will have a good chance of getting into UCT. However, different faculties and programs have different entrance requirements so we encourage you to increase your chances of admission by making two choices in your application.
Do I need to take the NBTs to apply to UCT?
- Except for admission to the programs in the Faculty of Engineering & the Built Environment, writing the NBTs is mandatory for all undergraduate applicants normally residents or at schools in South Africa.
Can I apply to UCT while completing Grade 11?
- While we appreciate your eagerness, applications may only be submitted in the year before you plan to register. So, the answer is no, you will not be able to apply while still in Grade 11.
