In order to be admitted to the University of Fort Hare (UFH) for the 2027 academic year, all applicants must meet the following minimum admission requirements

• Those who hold NSC need to pass a minimum of 4 subjects at a rating of 4 (Adequate Achievement, 50-59%) or better in any four 20-credit NSC subjects.
• Applicants holding a South African Senior Certificate need matriculation endorsement
• Minor Applicants declaration by Parent/Guardian must accompany all applications by prospective students under the age of 18.

The University of Fort Hare, UFH Online Application for the 2027-2028 academic year is open from 1 June to 31 October. Therefore, all those who wish to apply online at UFH for 2027 should follow the steps below:

1. Go to UFH website at www.ufh.ac.za 2027
2. Click on the “Apply Now” tab at the top right menu of the page
3. Read the application instructions before you continue
4. All fields marked with a red * are compulsory.
5. Answer the question to proceed.
6. If you choose “YES” click on the “Student Online” link to continue with the application
7. Choose “NO” to answer the question, read and “Accept” the UFH POPI clause before proceeding with your application
8. Click “Next” and enter your biographical details
9. Fill out the block with all the required information
10. Click “Next” to complete and submit your application for evaluation

After submitting your application for review, sit back and wait for a confirmation message from UFH university via SMS or email informing you of the status of your application.
