WVU Application Dates And Deadlines 2026-2027

Domestic First-Time Freshman Applicants
West Virginia University follows a rolling admissions policy for domestic first-time freshmen. This means there is no single deadline to apply, but applications are reviewed beginning August 15 for the next fall semester. Admission decisions are made on a first-come, first-served basis, so applying early is strongly recommended. To be considered for admission, all application materials and supporting documents must be submitted by the following dates:
- August 1 for fall semester admission
- December 31 for spring semester admission
International Undergraduate Applicants
International students must submit all application materials and documents by set deadlines to allow enough time for admission review and processing of immigration paperwork. The required dates are:
- Fall semester admission: Apply by June 1, with all academic documents submitted by July 1
- Spring semester admission: Apply by October 1, with all academic documents submitted by November 1
