Applicants who have been awarded a degree (i.e. Bachelor’s or Master’s) from a majority English-speaking Country (e.g. UK) do not need to take an additional English language proficiency test. Online study does not apply.

Aberystwyth University Undergraduate Application Process 2025/2026
Before applying through UCAS.com, you will need to register. You will do this at your school or college and you will need to ask your teacher or career advisor for your username and temporary password and most importantly the buzzword. If you’re not attending a school or college, don’t worry, you can self-register yourself. Below are the steps that you need to take when completing the online UCAS application form:
Applicants Are To Do The Necessary Research:
- Enquire through the list of courses and choose the one that appeals to you. Make sure that you save the course that you like using the heart button on the online UCAS course search. This will keep all your liked searches in one stored area.
Fill In By Putting Your Personal Information Into the Blank Spaces:
Aberystwyth recommends that you start completing your profile around late June or the beginning of July. This helps you to get the boring part of the application out of the way and it will be ready for you to start applying. There are five sections that you will need to fill in which are:
- Personal information (eg school details, support needs etc.);
- Qualifications (you can add any subjects that you are working towards or have completed already);
- Work history (if you have any work experience or currently have a part-time job you can add it);
- Personal statement (a chance to say a bit about yourself);
- Contact details (you can add your contact details eg mobile number and email and keep them up-to-date throughout the application process).
Remember, you must save these sections once you have completed them, otherwise, the information that you have inputted will be lost and you will have to start again.
Applicant Should Apply For Financial Aid If Needed To Them (UK & EU Applicants)
- As the application process moves smoothly, this page might appear if you have answered certain questions from the above category. UCAS doesn’t organise your student finance, but if you need financial support at the University of Aberystwyth (tuition fee loan, maintenance grant/ loan), you can permit UCAS to share your information with the relevant student finance company. This helps speed up the process of applying for and awarding your student finance.
Provide A Personal Statement:
- The Personal statement is one of the most important elements of your UCAS application, it will be best advised to read the dedicated page that will help you to nail the personal statement. Furthermore, the University of Aberystwyth offers fantastic departmental advice from all our subject tutors on how to go about completing your statement specific to that subject area.
Select Five Courses Of Choice:
Read Through Your Application:
Ask For A Reference and pay Your Fees:
- Your application will require a reference from either your teacher, adviser or a professional who knows you academically or professionally. Everybody who applies will require a reference unless you get permission from your chosen university or college.
- If you’re applying to just one university or college the fee will be £13.00. If you’re applying for multiple courses (up to 5) the fee is £24.00. All late applications (after June 30th) are subjected to a £24.00 fee.
