The 2025/2026 academic year has been open to prospective students around the globe to apply to gain admission. with an acceptance rate of 50.95 percent, the university is accepting applications from both home applicants and international applicants. For the 2025 academic season, there are two intake periods, that is the September intake period which begins on the 19th of September, and the January intake which has up to the 27 January 2025 as the deadline.

If you are an international applicant and English is not your first language, you will have to provide evidence that you have been assessed in all four components of English (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) to the required standard for your degree course. As a general rule, to be accepted onto any Bachelor’s or Master’s program, you will need to have achieved a minimum of IELTS (Academic) 6.0 overall, with no less than 5.5 in each component you are applying for a foundational degree, BU will assess your academic qualifications, as well as your previous life and work experience.

- Applications for undergraduate courses starting in September 2024 are open from 23 September 2024 and
- 27 January 2025 is the deadline for applications for the majority of courses.
Note: You may be able to apply for a course after the above deadline as a new applicant and from February 2025 through UCAS Extra if you apply by January and have no offers. 2025 Bournemouth Entry Date
- May 2024 – the UCAS application will be available for 2023 applications – please ensure you make your application using your email address rather than a school/college email to ensure all emails about your application get through to you.
- Early Sept 2024 – completed 2023 entry applications can be submitted to UCAS
- 27 Jan 2025 – UCAS application deadline for the majority of undergraduate courses – we will continue to accept Late applications through
- UCAS if course places are still available
- Feb 2025 – UCAS Extra opens – if you have declined all your offers or have been unsuccessful with all of your choices
- June 2024 – the last date to submit late 2025 applications. Any applications received after this date will be entered into the Clearing
- July 2024 – Clearing opens for 2025 entry

Admission Requirements For Bournemouth University For 2025
Applicants applying for admission at BU for the 2025 study year are to possess the following:
- A completion of 10+2 with a grade point average of at least 60% for bachelor’s degree programs.
- Completion of a bachelor’s degree in a suitable subject of study is required for master’s courses (depending upon the course you choose).
- Applicants will also be requiring an IELTS score of at least 6.0 for undergraduate courses and 6.5 for postgraduate courses.
- Applicants can also be asked for other test scores like GMAT/GRE depending upon the program chosen.
