If you are planning to start your studies between May 2026 and April 2027, take note of the application dates. Summer and fall 2026 applications open on September 1, 2025. For winter 2027, applications open on January 15, 2026. Be sure to apply early to secure your spot in your preferred program.
Application Timeline – Fall 2026/2027
- September 15: Applications open. Apply online through the Application Portal.
- January 15: Deadline to qualify for the early bird draw and to update roommate preferences.
- February: Early bird draw offers are sent. You will have about 3 weeks to respond.
- April 1: Deadline to qualify for the first round of offers (lottery draw) and update roommate preferences.
- June: First-round offers are sent out. Around 70% of spots will be offered. Response deadline is typically 3 weeks but may be shorter.
- June 1: Last day to qualify for the second round of offers and update roommate preferences.
- July: Second-round offers are sent. Response deadline is approximately 3 weeks.
- August: Full Occupancy Notice/Option Email sent to applicants who have not yet received a room offer.

- Your final grades will be automatically transmitted to them if you submit an online application and attend school in Alberta. If you attended school elsewhere than Alberta, you must send your transcript to the admissions office:
Apply for awards
- The deadlines for their numerous awards and scholarships range from December 15 to March 15. The Board of Governors’ Honors is the only award that doesn’t require a separate application. You might have to put in a little work, but you’re worth it.
