For courses beginning September 2024, you must apply (however some courses may close earlier than this, so BU would recommend applying as early as possible). After this deadline, applications will be accepted only if there are spaces on the course and there is sufficient time to progress your application (e.g. interviews, portfolios if required, and the visa process for international students).
2025/2026 academic year’s application for admission to Brunel University is currently open to prospective applicants to study a program of their choice. At Brunel University, they offer both undergraduate programs and postgraduate programs. Most of the courses offered at Brunel University, especially undergraduate courses can be applied through UCAS. The UCAS application deadline for students applying for admission into the 2025/2026 academic year is the 25th of January 2025, it is therefore advised that you submit your application as early as possible in other to meet the deadline.
Applicants applying for postgraduate courses at Brunel University are to apply as early as possible for their chosen course, as courses in high demand often reach capacity and may need to close early or stop recruiting. Some courses, including (but not limited to) MSc Occupational Therapy (Pre-Registration), MSc Physiotherapy, MSc Physician Associate, all Brunel Business School courses, PG Economics and Finance courses, all Computer Science courses, and PGCE teaching courses may have earlier application deadlines, early deposit payment deadlines or may stop recruiting early in the application cycle, due to limited capacity.

Brunel University Postgraduate Application Deadline 2025/2026
- For courses beginning January 2025, BU recommends you apply by 11 November 2024. After this deadline, applications will be accepted only if there are spaces on the course and there is sufficient time to progress your application (e.g. interviews, portfolios if required, the visa process for international students)

After this deadline, applications will be accepted only if there are spaces on the course and there is sufficient time to progress your application (e.g. interviews, portfolios if required, and the visa process for international students).

Brunel University Undergraduate Application Requirements 2025/2026
Applicants applying for admission to Brunel University for the academic year 2025 are to meet the following requirements to be offered admission. Some courses ask for an English level of between IELTS 6.0 and 7.0 or equivalent. Some courses will have higher requirements (and will require you to also reach minimum sub-scores). Undergraduate applicants are to have the following:
- High School Diploma Grade A-C or 75%+
- SAT 600 in English subjects
- GED 600 in English subjects (with no score less than 410)
- AP English Grade 3 or above
Tests Accepted Minimum scores required:
- IELTS – 6.0 – 7.0
- TOEFL iBT – 70 – 100
- PTE – 51 – 64
- Duolingo – 100 – 120+
Brunel University Postgraduate Application Requirements 2025/2026
The entry requirement for a postgraduate research degree is a First or Upper Second Class Honours degree. All international students must show evidence that they meet the English language requirement for their course of study. This applies even if English is the native language of your home country. An appropriate level of English language competence is expected as listed with IELTS scores below
- Advanced Manufacturing and Enterprise Engineering – IELTS 6.5 (with no less than 6.0 in any section)
- Aerospace Engineering – IELTS 6.5 (with no less than 6.0 in any section)
- Anthropology – IELTS 6.5 (with no less than 6.0 in any section)
- Biosciences – IELTS 7 (with no less than 6.0 in any section)
- Civil Engineering – IELTS 6.5 (with no less than 6.0 in any section)
- Communication – IELTS 6.5 (with no less than 6.0 in any section)
- Community Health & Public Health – IELTS 7.0 (with no less than 6.0 in any section)
- Computer Science – IELTS 6.5 (with no less than 6.0 in any section)

Please provide documents from one of the following options:
- Current valid UK biometric residence permit (BRP)
- Current valid UK or EEA photo driving license AND a British birth certificate
- Current valid UK or EEA photo driving licence AND a current SLC Funding letter confirming funding
- Current valid UK or EEA photo driving license AND 4 other forms of identification
- Brunel University London Student ID photo card (if you are a recent former Brunel student)
- Expired UK passport: which expired less than a year before the registration date and the person in the picture is an adult; OR which expired more than a year before the registration date / the person in the picture is a child AND a British birth certificate or another valid form of photo ID.
Brunel University Application Requirements For International Applicants 2025/2026
All applicants need to be able to demonstrate their English Language ability as part of their application to Brunel. Brunel University accepts a whole range of English Language qualifications and you can find the specific requirements for each course on the course page. - For students who need a visa to study in the UK, you will need to provide these documents before Brunel can issue your CAS
- If you have completed the qualification already, you can upload the documents as part of your application.
- If you are still completing the qualification, simply upload an interim transcript with your application and you can provide the full documents once you complete your qualification.
