Applications for the 2025/2026 academic year have been opened at Cardiff Metropolitan University. Both freshmen applicants, transfer students, and returning students including international applicants are all welcome to submit their applications to gain admission to study in undergraduate and postgraduate courses and programmes. All undergraduate courses offered at the Cardiff Met are applied via UCAS. An application fee payable for applying to Cardiff Metropolitan University Via UCAS is 22.00 GBP for single choice and 27.00 GBP for multiple choices.
Undergraduate tuition fees for full-time, home students will be £9,000 for 2025 entry. EU Applicants who do not have settled status will be charged International Fees. Your fee status will be decided by the University once you apply to take into consideration settled and pre-settled status. During your time at Cardiff University, you will have two main costs to meet, your tuition fees and living costs. As a full-time undergraduate student, you may be eligible for a package of financial support.
All academic and accommodation fees must be paid in full to the University whilst you are studying with us. If you do not do this you will be unable to graduate from your course or gain a certificate for your studies. However, it is possible to pay your fees in instalments if you are not able to pay them in full when you begin your course.

Tuition fee for International Undergraduate Applicants:
- International students offering Undergraduate Degree courses with a duration of 3-4 years are to pay a yearly course fee of £15,000
- HND students are to pay £15,000 per year
- Top-Up Degree – £15,000 for 1 year
- International Foundation Course at ELTC 1 year – £tbc
- Engineering (1 Course) – GBP 13000
- Science (1 Course) – GBP 13000
- Arts (1 Course) – GBP 13000
- Hospitality & Tourism (1 Course) – GBP 13000
- Information Technology (IT) (1 Course) – GBP 13000
- Management (5 Courses) 1 Year – GBP 14000
Cardiff Metropolitan University Postgraduate Application And Tuition Fee 2025/2026
As a postgraduate, research or part-time student, the tuition fees you are charged will depend on the course you choose to study. Certain programmes will also incur costs in addition to the course fee.
- Students studying Postgraduate Masters Degree Courses with a duration of 1-2 years are to pay – £16,000 for 1 year.
- Postgraduate Doctoral Degree – £16,000 per year
- MBA (including study visit) – £17,500 for 1 year
- PGCE – £14,000 for a year

Cardiff Metropolitan University Undergraduate Application Requirements 2025/2026
Cardiff Met welcomes applications from applicants who may not necessarily have the required academic qualifications. Generally, however, if you have been out of education for more than five years, an Access to Higher Education Diploma or similar may be required in a relevant subject. The typical requirement for enrollment into programmes at Cardiff Met is that applicants hold Level 3 credentials. For us to assess your application, it is very important to provide us with as much information about your academic qualifications as possible. Therefore, you will also need to submit the following documents with your application:
- Photocopies of your exam certificates and transcripts
- Statement of Purpose/Personal Statement
- English language certificate or NARIC Statement of Comparability
- 1 educational reference (2 employer references are required for offers based on work experience)
- Evidence of sponsorship – if an applicable copy of your portfolio which should include 10-20 clear and informative slides or photographs on a CD ROM or through an appropriate online resource such as Flickr

With regards to research loans, the PGL for England and Wales will be applicable for those studying a 2-year MPhil (full-time) programme, however, those studying an MPhil part-time or MPhil leading to PhD will not be eligible.
