The University of Brighton offers a flexible and supportive pathway for students looking to advance their education through postgraduate studies in the 2026/2027 academic year. For most postgraduate courses, there is no strict application deadline, giving you the freedom to apply when you are ready. However, certain programs, such as the MSc in Social Work, follow the standard UCAS deadline. If you require a UK visa to study, it is recommended to apply early to allow sufficient time for visa processing. Most postgraduate courses are scheduled to begin on 28 September 2026, and while late applications may be considered, those needing a visa might not be able to apply after this date.

The application process at the University of Brighton is designed to be accessible and inclusive. Postgraduate courses are open to students with a first degree, but if you do not hold one, your relevant professional experience and potential to succeed will also be considered. You can choose from full-time or part-time study options to fit your lifestyle and career goals.

Brighton University’s postgraduate community of around 3,600 students benefits from high-quality research and a diverse learning environment. For every postgraduate module completed, you earn points (typically 10 per standard module), which can be transferred to other institutions nationally or internationally, contributing toward your qualifications. This approach allows you to start, develop, or even change your career while gaining valuable skills and recognized academic credits.
