Arden University Application Requirements For Admission 2025/2026
Arden understands that every applicant comes from a different family background which is why their admission requirements are very flexible so applicants can be admitted to pursue a course of their choice. The following are the application requirements and documents that applicants need to provide in other to gain admission:
- A previous work experience in addition to the academic qualifications you possess.
- Applicants should provide evidence of their English language proficiency at the required level for your course.
Note: Alternatively, you can complete an English language test with Arden University directly. The test uses the same grading system as the IELTS, and you’ll typically receive your results in just a couple of days. You can find out more by speaking to a member of our student recruitment team.
Supporting Documents Needed By Applicants Applying To Arden University

- An internationally recognised passport picture

Non-EU applicants need to take the following steps:

3. Prepare Your Documents

4. Attend Your Embassy Interview

5. Obtain Your Visa
- As you’ve been accepted into a German higher education institution, your visa will be issued to you.
6. Look For Accommodation
- Once you have your visa, it’s time to start looking for accommodation in Berlin. We recommend you start this process as soon as your visa has been issued.

How To Apply For A Degree Through Arden University’s Website

Arden University Application Process For International Applicants 2025/2026
To study long-term in Germany (longer than 90 days), you will need to apply for a Student Visa. You will also need to obtain a Residence Permit once you arrive in Berlin, which you can apply for at the German Foreigners’ Office. The student support team are always ready to help you with advice and guidance if you run into any difficulties.
Arden University also recommends that international students open a blocked bank account to help the visa application process run more smoothly. A blocked bank account is simply a bank account that contains funds which you will only be able to access once you arrive in Germany. Opening a blocked account will reassure the German authorities that you have access to sufficient funds during your time studying in Berlin (minimum 10,236 euros for your first year of study).
Arden recommends using their partner organisation Expatrio to help you set up your blocked bank account. Expatrio can also help you arrange health insurance, among other useful student services.
Documents you will need to submit to your local German embassy include:
- A certificate of health insurance
- A valid passport
- 3 passport photos (with biometric passport specifications)
- Proof of finances in your blocked bank account (minimum 10,236 euros)
- Letter of acceptance from Arden University Berlin
- Academic certificates from your previous studies
- Proof of English language ability and the Residence Permit fee (currently 60 euros).
Visa Application Process For International Applicants Applying For Arden University
If you are an international applicant applying for admission to study at Arden University for the year 2025/2026, you need to secure for yourself a visa by following the process below:
Step 1: Having met the entry requirements for your course and submitted your documents, you will get an acceptance letter from Arden University Berlin.
Step 2: Next, contact the German embassy or consulate in your home country to find out about the visa process.

Students applying for a Residence Permit are requested to report to the German Foreigners’ Office* in person with the following required documents:

- Application for Issuance of a Residence Permit (for first-time applicants only)
- Proof of secure livelihood, or;
- Proof of financial stability:
- blocked bank account at a German Bank with 10,236 euros, or;
- submission of a declaration of commitment by a 3rd party on an official form, or;
- scholarship documentation, or;
- Notarized declaration from parents securing the livelihood of the student for the duration of their studies with proof of the income of the parents in the last six months.
- Proof of health insurance. Those with statutory health insurance are sufficiently insured. Those with private health insurance must consider the type and extent of their health insurance.
- Certificate of enrolment or conditional approval for the study in Germany (provided by Arden University)
- Proof of the main residence in Berlin
- Certificate of registration at the main residence.
