Starting on October 1, the admissions office will begin processing applications for the following 2025-2026 school year. Avoid missing out! Make sure you comply with the application and document. They advise you if at all feasible, to submit your application and supporting materials well before the deadlines listed. To be eligible for scholarships and to start receiving vital information about the University and your first year, they advise that you submit your application as soon as possible.
Only the specific program application due dates below will be available for online submissions. Please be aware that both the application and document deadlines are on the same day. Nearly all communication from the admissions office will be sent via email. Use a regular email account for the application, and add the sender to your safe sender list.
Brandon University Application and Official Document Deadlines
The application portal for the upcoming academic year starts on October 1st.

Application & Documents Arriving After the Deadline
An application or document received after the August 15 deadline for the first term (September) will automatically be considered for the second term (January).
Candidates must reapply and submit the non-refundable application fee to be considered for the following academic year if the application or needed documents are received after the December 1 deadline for a second term (January).
Brandon University Required Documents: International Applicants
Any offer of acceptance shall be confirmed by official documentation supplied. The awarding institution or the Exam Authority must send the final, official transcripts/documents.
If the transcript is still in its sealed envelope from the institution, the applicant’s official transcripts and documents may be accepted. All submitted documents are given to Brandon University as its property.
A letter confirming that high school graduation will take place before the start of university is required for students in their final year of high school. A certified translator must interpret transcripts that aren’t in English and include a letter stating that they were given the records in a sealed envelope.
The Admissions Office must receive both the translation and the original official transcript.
English Language Proficiency Requirement
English language fluency is a requirement for admission for all applicants, regardless of citizenship or nation of origin.
The accepted English language competency criterion for Brandon University can be met in eleven different ways.
You will be notified through email by the admissions office if you need to submit documentation of your English language ability to complete your application.
The English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program is available to international students who do not meet the English Proficiency standards.
How To Apply to Brandon University
- Complete the online application and submit it, making sure to list all the institutions you have attended or are currently attending. An email will be used for almost all correspondence from the admissions office. Use a regular email account and add them to your safe-sender list.
- Send the application fee—a non-refundable $70.00 Canadian or $140.00 Canadian cost for applicants from Minnesota and Canada—along with the application. This fee is subject to change without notice.
- Send the Admissions Office the necessary paperwork before the application deadline. Once an application is received, Admissions will email you a document request. However, please be aware that the deadlines for both the application and the papers are the same, thus documents won’t be asked on or after the deadline. They advise you to submit your application as soon as possible before the dates listed. Review the necessary paperwork for Canada or the necessary documents for other countries.
- After receiving the necessary paperwork and the application fee, the file will be reviewed, and admissions eligibility will be decided.
- An Offer of Admission will be sent to qualified applicants after decisions have been made and communicated through email.
