Gaining admission to Brunel University for the 2025/2026 academic year is solely dependent on you meeting the admission requirements. Currently, the acceptance rate for Brunel University ranges from 65% to 75%. This is to say that, in every 100 applications that are received, about 65 to 75 will be granted admission to study in both undergraduate courses or postgraduate courses.
The UCAS application deadline for students applying for admission into the 2025/2026 academic year is 25 September 2024, it is therefore advised that you submit your application as early as possible in other to meet the deadline.
Applicants applying for postgraduate courses at Brunel University are to apply as early as possible for their chosen course, as courses in high demand often reach capacity and may need to close early or stop recruiting. Some courses, including (but not limited to) MSc Occupational Therapy (Pre-Registration), MSc Physiotherapy, MSc Physician Associate, all Brunel Business School courses, PG Economics and Finance courses, all Computer Science courses, and PGCE teaching courses may have earlier application deadlines, early deposit payment deadlines or may stop recruiting early in the application cycle, due to limited capacity.

- The initial UCAS deadline for on-time undergraduate applications is 31 January 2025
- The closing date for 2025 applications through UCAS main application system (applications received after this date will go through Clearing) is 30 June 2024

Brunel University Postgraduate Application Deadline 2025/2026:
- For courses beginning January 2025, BU recommends you apply by November 2024. After this deadline, applications will be accepted only if there are spaces on the course and there is sufficient time to progress your application (e.g. interviews, portfolios if required, the visa process for international students)
- For courses beginning September 2025, you should apply by July 2024. After this deadline, applications will be accepted only if there are spaces on the course and there is sufficient time to progress your application (e.g. interviews, portfolios if required, and the visa process for international students).

Brunel University Undergraduate Application Requirements 2025/2026
Applicants applying for admission to Brunel University for the academic year 2025 are to meet the following requirements to be offered admission. Some courses ask for an English level of between IELTS 6.0 and 7.0 or equivalent. Some courses will have higher requirements (and will require you to also reach minimum sub-scores). Undergraduate applicants are to have the following:
- High School Diploma Grade A-C or 75%+
- SAT 600 in English subjects
- GED 600 in English subjects (with no score less than 410)
- AP English Grade 3 or above

- IELTS – 6.0 – 7.0
- TOEFL iBT – 70 – 100
- PTE – 51 – 64
- Duolingo – 100 – 120+
Brunel University Postgraduate Application Requirements 2025/2026
The entry requirement for a postgraduate research degree is a First or Upper Second Class Honours degree. All international students must show evidence that they meet the English language requirement for their course of study. This applies even if English is the native language of your home country. An appropriate level of English language competence is expected as listed with IELTS scores below
- Advanced Manufacturing and Enterprise Engineering – IELTS 6.5 (with no less than 6.0 in any section)
- Aerospace Engineering – IELTS 6.5 (with no less than 6.0 in any section)
- Anthropology – IELTS 6.5 (with no less than 6.0 in any section)
- Biosciences – IELTS 7 (with no less than 6.0 in any section)
- Civil Engineering – IELTS 6.5 (with no less than 6.0 in any section)
- Communication – IELTS 6.5 (with no less than 6.0 in any section)
- Community Health & Public Health – IELTS 7.0 (with no less than 6.0 in any section)
- Computer Science – IELTS 6.5 (with no less than 6.0 in any section)
