Your application and academic performance will be taken into account when choosing you for the aforementioned courses. Candidates for medicine may also receive an invitation to an interview.
Domestic applicants must submit an online application to James Cook University’s Academy Office in addition to submitting through QTAC.

Application Dates
Applications for all courses for enrolment in 2023-2024 are accepted beginning on August 2 and ending on September 30.
Course Requirements
Specific entrance requirements for courses may include immunization records, a Suitability to Work with Children Card, a National Criminal History Check, and/or other conditions that students must meet. The Course and Subject Handbook contains the requirements for your course.
Course Prerequisites
Before receiving an offer for the Bachelor of Dental Surgery, Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, or Bachelor of Veterinary Science, applicants must fulfill the course requirements (Honours). All of the following must be successfully completed at the Year 12 level in order to enroll in each course:
- English
- Mathematical Methods
- Chemistry
