Step 2: Apply for admission

Fall Semester: From October 1 to February 1, early admission is available. Early admission is exactly what it sounds like—many colleges provide you with a window of opportunity to apply to the program(s) of your choosing before the regular admissions deadline.
Applying now is the best option because it speeds up the process and ensures that you hear back sooner.

At MRU, early admission, which lasts from October to February, is when they receive the majority of the applications and fill the majority of their programs. During that period, all applications are examined equally.
After early admission has finished, open spaces are continually and first-come, first-served granted to qualified applicants.

Step 3: Send in all final, official documentation before the deadline

To be considered for Early Admission, you are strongly advised to have your application for admission and all supporting documentation at Mount Royal by February 1.
The application for admission and any supporting documents (needed for the admission assessment) must be received by this date for programs with a February 1 application deadline.
Many programs accept applications after this deadline.
For the most recent list of available and closed programs, visit Program Offerings.

Step 4: Apply for Residence

For individuals who apply and pay their resident deposit by June 15 for the Fall Semester, housing for students is guaranteed.

Step 5: Apply for Scholarships

You must apply for early admission between October 1 and February 1 to be qualified for scholarships and bursaries.
To apply for awards, you must have your Mount Royal student ID number.
Once you apply for admission, you will receive your ID through email.
From November 1 to March 1, apply for scholarships and grants.

Step 6: Check your application status
