The University of Queensland is extremely selective, and this is reflected in its acceptance rate. Students should strive for good grades in their classes and on their standardized exams to have the best chance of being admitted. The Australian University of Queensland welcomes students from all origins and locations. At the University of Queensland, the admittance rate is 40%. It shows that the University of Queensland has a selective admissions strategy that is mostly based on the student’s academic performance.
All Australian universities share these traits, however, despite the fact that they enroll many students—especially those from abroad—not all of them go on to graduate. They make admittance simple, but the studies are challenging. Therefore, you will be okay if you have the drive to put in the effort and persevere. You shouldn’t apply to the University of Queensland if you don’t.
You must have finished a semester of full-time study at the bachelor’s level or higher. You must have a GPA of at least 5.0 on a scale of 7 before you can apply to the institution. Depending on the degree, they can indeed have a greater admission requirement than your other possibilities.
But if you look into the top-ranked institutions in Australia, you’ll discover that UQ is often no more difficult to get into than some of the prestigious universities in other states.
