Whether you are in a Commonwealth-supported or Full fee-paying place will determine the amount of tuition you must pay. The Australian government subsidizes a Commonwealth subsidized place (CSP), which is offered to qualified home-country students. To learn more about your eligibility and how to determine your student contribution amount, read the following information:

The cost of your vocational education and training (VET) depends on the program and whether you qualify for government-funded training. The Free TAFE for Priority Courses plan of the Victorian Government may make some courses free. The total number of hours enrolled is multiplied by the appropriate course’s hourly rate to determine the tuition charge. View the TAFE Indicative Prices, which covers both government-subsidized and full-fee paying rates and material fees, for more information.

International students in a country where there are fees must pay annual tuition for their chosen course of study. Your program and the year you begin it will determine the tuition fees that you will be paid.

Federation University Australia Tuition fee charges

FedUni charges annual program-based tuition costs. View the foreign student tuition charge plan for higher education. Unless otherwise noted, the annual tuition charge is based on a typical study load (full-time enrolment of 120 credit points or 1.0 EFTSL) each year.
Your tuition costs will vary depending on the degree you are pursuing and the amount of coursework you are taking.

Each semester you enrol in, you will be charged tuition costs, which you will pay by your enrolment. The cost of each course is determined by dividing the study load by the annual program fee that applies to that course.

For each semester they enrol in, international students receive an invoice from the Student Center. By the invoice due date, all semester tuition fees must be paid in full. For further details on your online invoice, go to the website of the invoice. Please check the payment dates page for more details about your semester payment due dates. They advise you to think about paying your tuition regularly so you won’t have to pay the entire amount at once.

Any amount can be paid at any time, as long as the entire invoice is paid in full by the due date. All FedUni programs require international students to pay tuition, except those who are:

  • who are pursuing a higher degree through coursework or research and who have been given a scholarship for such study based on merit after a rigorous application process; or
  • studying in Australia as part of an official exchange arrangement between FedUni and their native university.
