Domestic students can also get financial aid, while international students can get some support.

Course costs for international students vary depending on the program and the academic year. International students’ tuition costs are calculated per credit point and are updated yearly. This indicates that there is a charge for each credit point you enrol in. Every year, the university evaluates the per credit point fees and may decide to raise them the next year.

Macquarie University Commencement Fee 2025

When you accept an offer to study at Macquarie University, you must pay a portion of your tuition fees as the Commencement fee. Depending on your course, it is often set between AU$16,000 and AU$23,500. This price is deducted from your first session tuition fees even though it does not cover the full cost of your unit enrolment (ie it is not in addition to your tuition fees).

You must pay the remaining balance for the first session at the time of enrolment if any. The first session of each subsequent half-year, between January and July, is paid for. Scholarship winners may not be required to pay a commencement fee. Your letter of offer will provide information on these specifics.
