NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship 2023-2024
The NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship is an award program given to student-athletes who excel academically and athletically and who are at least in their final year of intercollegiate athletics competition The Scholarship helps to promote and encourage graduate education by rewarding the Association’s most accomplished student-athletes through their participation in NCAA championships and/or emerging sports.
Athletics and academic achievements, campus involvement, community service, volunteer activities and demonstrated leadership is evaluated.

Fall 2023
- The Application opens on Thursday, 15 September 2022
- Application Deadline is Tuesday, 10 January 2023
Winter 2023:
- Application opens on Tuesday, 10 January 2023
- Application Deadline is Tuesday, 4 April 2023
Spring 2023:
- Application opens: Wednesday, 15 March 2023
- Application Deadline is on Monday, 5 June 2023

NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship 2023 Eligibility
Student-athletes at an active NCAA member institution who:
- Must be in the final season of NCAA athletics eligibility or must have completed athletic eligibility
- Must be in the final year of undergraduate academic work or receive an undergraduate degree.
- Have an overall undergraduate minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.200 (based on a 4.000 scale) or its equivalent, including all undergraduate hours earned at all undergraduate institutions attended. The grade-point average may not include any graduate-level hours.
- Have performed with distinction as a varsity team member in the sport in which the student-athlete is being nominated.
- Must enroll in a graduate degree-granting program on a part- or full-time basis at an academically accredited graduate or degree-granting professional school.
- Must be enrolled in a graduate degree-granting program within one year after the academic year the scholarship was awarded. All funds must be used within the same academic year.
- The scholarship cannot be used to fund any undergraduate work.
- Are outstanding citizens and excellent role models for the institution and intercollegiate athletics.
How to apply for the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship 2023
- Step 1: Log in to Program Hub at www.ncaa.org/programhub
- Step 2: Click the Applications tab.
- Step 3: Select “Programs I could apply for” from the drop-down menu
- Step 4: Click the Start Registration Application link to the left of the program for which you want
to apply. - Step 5: The application will appear. To submit the application, complete all fields
- Step 6: Once all fields have been completed, click the Save and Submit button on the bottom of
the final page of the application to submit your application. - Step 7: A banner will appear at the top of the program application confirming the submission.
- Step 8: Select Continue at the bottom of the page to return to the application home screen.
