University of Aberdeen Undergraduate Application And Tuition Fee 2025-2026

The cost of tuition and application fees for Scottish-domiciled undergraduate students is £1,820 per year. Scottish students should apply to the Student Awards Agency for Scotland to cover this cost.
Application fees at Aberdeen University vary from degree to degree and the duration of the course. This means that the application fee for students studying undergraduate courses may change from those studying postgraduate courses. International students may also have a different application fee depending on the program they are studying.
Aberdeen University’s fixed fee structure means that new international undergraduate (excluding Medicine) and postgraduate research students commencing study in the academic year 2025 are charged the same tuition fee each year, for the duration of their programme of study.

Tuition Fees for Scottish students:
- The cost of tuition fees for Scottish-domiciled undergraduate students is £1,820 per year. Scottish students should apply to the Student Awards Agency for Scotland to cover this cost.
Students may be eligible for their tuition fees to be covered by the Scottish Government if they are:
- Scottish domiciled
- Studying for your first undergraduate degree
- Studying full-time
Aberdeen University Application And Tuition Fee For Undergraduate Students 2025-2026
- Tuition fees for entry at the University of Aberdeen, for students from England, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and Wales are £9,250 per annum.
The fees are broken down in the following manner:
- £9250 is payable for each year of study.
- Most students who register for a 4-year honours programme and who progress from Level 1 – 4 in the minimum time will therefore pay £37,000, but students who are required to repeat a year of study will also be required to pay fees for the repeat year.
- Most students who register for a 5-year honours programme and who progress from Level 1 – 5 in the minimum time will pay £46,250 but students who are required to repeat a year of study will also be required to pay fees for the repeat year.
International students starting our undergraduate Master of Arts in Business Management will pay their tuition fees as follows:
- Year 1 – £19,800
- Year 2 – £19,800 (no increase in fees)
- Year 3 – £19,800 (no increase in fees)
- Year 4 – £19,800 (no increase in fees)
The total cost of tuition for a four-year degree is £79,200.
Undergraduate Engineering Degree
An international student starting our Bachelor of Engineering in September would pay their tuition fees as follows:
- Year 1 – £22,800
- Year 2 – £22,800 (no increase in fees)
- Year 3 – £22,800 (no increase in fees)
- Year 4 – £22,800 (no increase in fees)
The total cost of study for a four-year degree is £91,200.

Aberdeen University Part-time Student Fees 2025
Part-time students studying up to 75 credits in any academic year and no more than 45 credits in either half-session may be eligible to apply for the SAAS, Part-time Fee Grant to help towards the cost of tuition fees.
SAAS Part-time Fee Grant Eligibility
To qualify for this funding, you must:
- have an individual income of £25,000 a year or less
- be studying part-time Higher Education course(s), Professional Development Award (PDA) or Continuing Professional Development (CPD) at levels 7-10 of the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF)
- complete between 30-75 SCQF credits per year
- be studying at a Scottish Institution
- meet the residence conditions as set out in The Students’ Allowances (Scotland) Regulations 2007
