University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) Online Application Form 2025-2026 opening / closing date status

The University of KwaZulu-Natal, UKZN Online Application Form 2025-2026 Academic cycle will be available from 1 April 2024 to 30 September 2024 for all other programmes. It is therefore essential to apply for admission to UKZN 2025 as early as possible before the application closing date or deadline. Remember, UKZN will not accept any Late Applications for 2025. For entry in Semester 1 (Feb) 2024

  • Application opening date for all programmes: 1 April 2024
  • Application closing date for Medicine (MBChB): 30 June 2024
  • Application closing date for all other programmes: 30 September 2024

How to Apply at UKZN Online Application Form 2025-2026

The University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) online application form for the 2025 academic year is open to all applicants. In order to apply to study at UKZN 2025, applicants must follow the procedure outlined below:

  • Go to UKZN website at www.ukzn.ac.za
  • Click on the “Apply to UKZN 2025” tab
  • Read the instructions you see on the screen
  • Fill out the form with the required details
  • Complete and submit your application form online for review

PLEASE NOTE! It is very necessary that you know there is a limited number of spaces available in all disciplines. Those who qualify for admission are chosen first and the selection continues when all the available places are full. You should also remember that applicants below the minimum score published will be selected. UKZN is serious about academic excellence – demand exceeds places available and not all applicants meeting minimum requirements will be offered places.

If you would like to know the outcome of your application, please feel free to check UKZN Status for the 2025 academic year. To do so please;

  1. Go to UKZN status portal at https://caocheck.ukzn.ac.za/Start.aspx
  2. Then, select the year of application (2024/2025)
  3. Enter CAO, UKZN Student ID, or Passport Number
  4. Then, click on the “Check” button to track UKZN Application Status for 2025

The University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) Online Registration 2025-2026

University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) Online Registration for the 2025-2026 Academic year will be open on 10 January 2024 and close on 25 February 2024. To register online follow the steps below:

  1. Visit https://registration.ukzn.ac.za
  2. Click on the “UKZN Web Registration” tab
  3. Read the document on the screen
  4. Click on the “Rules and Regulations” link
  5. Accept the “Terms and Conditions”
  6. Click on the Address Validation link once you have accepted it
  7. Check and update your address details
  8. Complete and submit your online registration for review

All returning students who have received letters from the College Office reminding you of your negative term decision must click on the following link https://academicsupport.ukzn.ac.za to complete the required process before attempting to register

University of KwaZulu-Natal, UKZN Admission Requirements 2025-2026

If you want to study at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, UKZN for the 2025 academic session, you need to meet the following minimum admission requirements:

  • Applicants should have a National Senior Certificate for Degree Studies (NSC-Deg) or a Senior Certificate with endorsement
  • Applicants must have a National Senior Certificate for Diploma studies (NSC-Dip) or Senior Certificate
  • UKZN degree programmes require a pass in Life orientation at Level 4
  • The medium of instruction at UKZN is English, and UKZN requires a pass in English (Home Language or First Additional Language (FAL)) at Level 4 (50% or above) but note that the College of Law requires a pass in English Home language at Level 5 or English as FAL on Level 6.
  • For admission to Diplomas or Alternative Access programmes a lower performance in English may be acceptable.
  • In the Senior Certificate, a pass for English at First or Second Language HG E is required.
